"In life I appreciate and look for the still moments and the subtleties that occur in everyday situations and interactions with people. I translate the details I see to my artwork whether it is capturing the nuances in someone's expression or emotion or bringing attention to something that would normally go unnoticed. I draw people or characters with the intent that there is a story behind them and I invite curious viewers to figure out what that story is. I enjoy mixing realism with abstract imagery, and I incorporate concepts such as duality or opposing/contrasting elements in my art. For those reasons and more I think animation is a powerful tool for representing ideas and stories in a beautiful, thoughtful, and informative way."
